The truth is that i & other admin built that forum to what it was over 18 years before he tried to sell it on and boot all the admin off who knew what was happening !
The guy was caught to be a liar, a criminal and alchoholic, oh & woman beater!
Our splinter forum still has most of those members associated and interact daily- with the same banter.
Unlike his forum, we are not there to gain free bulk content in order to bring in add-revenue creating income. to sit on our fat back sides getting ****ed with the other alco missus as we post duff comments trying to gain more content.
The guy was a tiler until he got done for drunk driving and lost his license and job. (google the name)
its all was talked about on our forum and fb page with the same name-almost that is still up and running!
Whats more, tha story of closing down the forum has been going for 15 years at least and i even offered to buy it from him after he said he would close it down, he deleted my admin account!

I can’t recall if he said this in a private rant or public. But he claimed that he had to get rid of Croppie and his “cohorts”. I am recalling that you were around at the same time? He specifically said that Croppie was making thousands from forum punters. I asked him how, but he never explained.
It is interesting what you say about ads, as he is clearly motivated by income to the site. He shouts at anyone using an adblocker and is threatening to close their accounts. He is also selling advertising to the plumbers. One taker so far.
Amusingly, he has taken up CHK’s suggestion of a new post prefix: “URGENT”. He has decided not to create a whole section for it as, in his words, there are not exactly a lot of new posts at the moment. But there probably will be in January !
