Smart bulb with PIR

A bulb is a bulbous device, it can have all sorts built in, as to if a good idea different question. With IFTTT units are increasing what they can do every week, all it needs is for some one to write another bit of software. However personally I don't like the idea of not repairable units, and it seems neither do the governments. Although no law passed yet, seems they want to pass a law stopping manufacturers from glueing stuff together so it can't be repaired.

So the LED lamps we buy today where the LED is not able to be replaced without replacing whole fitting is likely to be outlawed soon, it really does not matter if the lamp slides into a ceiling rose or plugs into some type of bulb holder, it seems they are trying to stop it, so would be safer to have separate PIR to bulb to future proof the installation.

?????!!!!

Thanks anyway.

I use a cheap Lidi rechargeable torch, at night walking in the entrance it lights showing the way to light switch, and also lights with power cut, and can then be removed and used as a torch to inspect the consumer unit. It is plugged into a socket above the cupboard under stairs and has been great.

There are 1000's of options, but you can google as easy as me.
