Loft stair trimmer joist hangers

Hi, was looking for some advice on joist hangers.

Im preparing the opening for my double winder loft staircase.

Im hoing to be trimming the openig using 75mm wide x 200mm deep c24 joists. So the width of the joists bolted together will be 150mm wide x 200mm deep.

Where the joists fit to the wall Im going to use timber to masonary steel joist hangers.

Ive seen so.e simpsons strong ties that are expensive, about £35 each.

However ive found these which are a lot cheaper. Would these be suitable for trimming a staircase opening?

Possibly. I've use BAT hangers like those quite a few times on jobs where we were walling in the joist hangers into new blockwork walls (they are laid on top of the course of blockwork, plugged and screwed to the top of the blocks then the mortar and next row of blockwork is laid - that's what the slots are for). It might be possible to use a 9in grinder to rake out the mortar course where they are going and insert them, but the problem is that you can't get the secondary (screw) fixing in from the top and without that they can have a tendency to skid around a bit as you manhandled the trimmer in

I would use one of those brackets, a 5mm drill bit to brill into the mortar so you can slide it in then with a steel drill bit drill through the plate at the back and put 2 screws each side.
