After trying to sort out Mrs Hysteresis's old Samsung J1 phone out, I submit and need to replace it with something more modern. She does not want a great amount from a phone, just a Phone, a camera, internet access and a few Apps and thats about it.
I think the Samsung A20e will do the trick at £150 but whilst looking around I came up with a couple from ASDA, ALCATEL 1B (32GB) @£69 an HONOR 8S (64GB) @£100.
These would suffice her needs but I have never heard of them and therefore have no idea of the reliability and functionality of them. I understand the HUAWEI phones now do not Support GOOGLE Apps and wondered if these phones from ASDA do.
Any advice from anyone would be appreciated.

The wifey has a Honor 'phone, she is really pleased with it. As for the 8s according to the spec the OS is Android 'Pie' so it should run Google Apps. I might even go and buy one!

Was all ready to order an Honor phone but searches revealed Honor is in fact Huawei and they have an issue with Google. It get a little more complicated in that 2019 Honor phones are OK with Google but 2021 phones have no access to Google. So decided against honor.
I am going to give a Alcatel phone a go and see what that comes up with. Only £70 so no real issue if it proves inadequate with inly 6GB memory'
Thanks everybody for you help.
