Hi,

Hoping someone can help... I’ve had old window/ door patched in with roughcast. As you can see from photo the new roughcast does not match old one as grey render has been used ... I also know I’m never going to have an exact colour match as old roughcast is quite dirty. The roughcaster advised he had to use grey render as the coloured render I have is no longer available. Looking online I can see a couple of render dry dash receivers that could be a possible match however I was wondering if anyone would know what colour of render has been used for the old rough cast as my roughcaster has offered to redo the job if I can source correct one. Thanks

your existing is dry pebbledash. looks like cantebury spar.
hes dry dashed with something? what’s the name on the bag?
I don’t see roughcast anywhere.
looks like a fair job and even if you match the dash it’ll still always look different
your ‘dash receiver’ looks like good old fashioned cement render.

Thank you both for your replies, they’ve matched the stones perfectly I believe he used Canterbury spar for those. I’m hoping to find a better match for the dash receiver, there seem to be a few different branded dash receivers I’ve found online that come in various colours. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using a similar colour of dash receiver or knows what the closest match would be from looking at the photo. Thanks
