Hi folks,

Just laid the new tiles in the kitchen and planning to grout today. Just wanted to check if it is best practice to seal the tiles after grout.

If so, what product should I use?

They look like porcelain tiles. If so they don't need sealing.

When working with porous tiles, I seal them before grouting.

They are indeed..

I was under the impression that seal would be good to avoid the tiles and the grout getting stained?

Oh, I see. In your case the tiles cannot be sealed but you can purchase grout sealant. The excess is wiped off the tiles.

I haven't use the above but the reviews I read were positive (I didn't read them all).

I have no idea how effective they are or how long they last.

When grouting tiles prone to be splattered by cooking on the hob/etc, I use (2-pack) epoxy grout. It is more difficult to work with though and much more expensive (cost plus labour).
