Bath tap connections

I am planning my bathroom refurb. The bath I have chosen has deck mounted taps centrally fitted to the long siden which is fitted against the wall and has a solid front, i.e., no removable panel. The taps will be against the wall, so how do I connect the hot and cold pipes?

Couple of solutions I have considered, neither very good; fit very long flex pipes which may allow the bath to be moved sufficient to get access. However, the pipes will be bent significantly when fitted. Alternatively, pre-fit the bath with long pipes which run under the bath and can be connected after the bath has been moved into position. However, this solution would not allow the flooring to be fitted first and lots of problem working around joists.

Any suggestions; this must be a common issue?

Change the type of bath so it will allow you to plumb it in. If an upstairs bathroom, remove a piece of plasterboard on the downstairs ceiling and plumb from below.

Mmmm. Working from below. Did not occur to me. Would allow me to fit the floor in the bathroom first, level the bath in situ and check for leaks as well. No worrying if there is a slight leak on one of the connections. Has anyone else tried this method?

Yes been there done the work through ceiling job.
Baths of that type = utter rubbish idiot who came up with the idea should have to fix every one of them.

If there is an adjoining wall then come through that. Alternatively you use plastic and have longish pipe runs to allow the bath to be moved in and out.

Just as big an issue here though is the waste though they usually come with a flexipipe to allow the bath to be lifted up, pipe fitted and then dropped back down. Usually does mean a remote running or dry/waterless trap, the latter really needing to be accessible.
