I want to replace my existing individual bath taps with a bath shower mixer. The Bristan tap I am considering has 180mm spacing for the hole centres. When I measure my existing taps, centre to centre I measure 184mm or 7 1/4 inches. The bath was fitted in 1976 and is cast iron. It is in perfect condition and I want to keep it. Does anyone know if the spacing of bath tap holes has changed since this bath was fitted. If so, any suggestions for a solution? :?:

The tap holes aren't tight - bloody enormous usually, quite often diamond shape. New mixers will fit. They quite often don't cover the points of the holes - either use an expensive big chrome washer or fill with white silicone.
