Central Heating Nightmare - Air in System Daily

Sometimes it's unavoidable but generally not a good sign... Especially when you see it on a system that is having issues!

It causes an experienced plumber to begin wondering what else the installers may have done!
Yeah sure. I get that. It’s generally quite simple under there. I should have got better photos. Perhaps later I’ll get some and draw where the pipes run.

In this case I think it’s because getting a line of copper down the hallway would have needed a run of floorboards to come up and someone couldn’t be arsed. I don’t fancy having the floor up, again, but theoretically it’s possible to change to entirely copper with some effort

There is a diagram I drew in an older post which shows the layout in an abstract fashion..

Extra info - I’m finding that every 3 to 4 days the gurgling gets worse. The rad at the highest point then has a cold top and I can get about 4 seconds of air from it. After this it seems the whole system gets hotter.

Interestingly I haven’t had to add any extra water to the system to compensate for air removed. My mind is still going towards that something is producing gas in the system..

rad in final bedroom seems to only heat the room effectively when some other rads are off. I’ll go in there and think this is chilly.. I’ve considered upsizing the rad. Todya it was running with some other rads off and again, it was stinking hot in that room so rad size must not be the issue!

I will get a deaerator installed and then see what changes.
