A few years ago we had a fitted (bathroom) carpet laid over the top of existing vinyl floor covering (the design that emulates wooden floor boards) but now that carpet needs replacing.

Is it likely that the fitter would have only glued the border down & if so is there a product that will remove any glue residue without damaging the vinyl underneath?
I'm hoping the original may still be in good condition as it hadn't been down long before 'ere indoors decided on a switch to carpet!

The fitter may of used double sided tape or a carpet spray. If you are lucky and its a cheap rubbish tape then it may mostly cone up with the carpet.

Thanks for that, I'll give a corner a tug & see.
