Our Gainsborough Stanza 8.5 has given up the ghost. When switched on water dribbles out then the heating element sounds like a kettle with no water in it and what water does come out is very hot.

This will be our 3rd Gainsborough and I've finally realised how bad they are

I really want a simple like for like replacement in terms of inlets for water and cabling. I see Triton and Mira do Multi fit showers.

I'm tempted by the Mira Sprint Multi-Fit Electric Shower 8.5kW and I'll accept I'll have to drill new holes into my tiles for fittings but for a simple swap would you recommend this or any other?

Our cabling and water inlet come from the right

The other option is another ****ty Gainsborough for compete laziness.

If your shower is portrait and mains water supply then a Triton T80Z Fastfit which has multiple choices for cable & water entry might suit you.
Triton, in the UK, seem to offer budget price showers which don't seem to last too long but the T80Z around here at any rate seem fine after 7/8 years, mine is only 4 years old, one thing I don't like is that the low water pressure indication (even though you might never need it) is just a semaphore type flag in the cover instead of a warning LED.
