Gainsborough 2000 shower

Our Gainsborough 2000 shower hardly works now and just trickles out cold water. In fact, you have to have it set to "Low" to get any heat out of it.

I have no idea how to fix this but if anyone can tell me what it sounds like, what part I need and if easy to replace I would be grateful. failing that, advise on a new replacement type and if easy to fit.

You've more likely a failed element on the heat can.
Due to the age of the shower i wouldn't bother throwing money at it and most of the internals are now obsolete on this model.

Have a look at the tritons they have both water/electric connections on the r/h side.

Is it easy for someone who inst a plumber (like myself) to fit ?
