Hi guys,
Popped round to a friend's tonight whose showers stopped working at the house they just bought…money is tight for them and they know I’m a DIYer so asked for some assistance.
I have suggested the connection might have been loose on the terminal which has caused the melting of the wire. There’s a little slack in the cable so I’ve suggested they cut the wire back to clean copper and refit to a new 45A switch, ensuring the terminals are screwed tight
I’ve suggested that if they smell any melting or the shower trips again that they call in a pro.
Just would like a sanity check that my advice was reasonable.
Thanks
Andy
