If Britons tried imposing their culture in China...

The British did impose their culture on the China, Drug Culture, when the Chinese objected, the British declared war on them.
Another reason for war was because British citizens in China didn't want to be subject to Chinese laws.

Yes, the opium wars were particularly shameful, when China had laws prohibiting the import of illegal addictive narcotics, and Britain used its powerful military might to force drugs from the Empire in, resulting in widespread addiction and vast economic and social damage, in order to bring profits to the British Empire.

China has not forgotten or forgiven the humiliation and damage imposed on it.

Point missed by several miles by the resident lefties!
You're cross because we pointed out the error in your thread title.

I'm glad we were able to help fill in gaps in your education.

No need to thank me.

Nothing to do with left or right.
Spline could have picked a better example than China to demonstrate his point that foreigners behave in ways that Brits don't.

I thought that was Birminghams Chinese quarter.

Absolutely anyone would vastly prefer a Chinese quarter to a muslim district next to their street.

The Chinese are really good at appreciating their own culture while politely respecting ours. Plus their food is nicer.

Absolutely, and the Chinese wouldn't even think about trying $h!t like this.

Wake up dumb, blinkered liberals before it's too late! It's a take over.
