Nned go service a window/door. Firstly I need to get a vent for the top of the window (are they mostly standard size?) and the I need to put some new sealing strips on the door. Due to clearance, I think it may be easier to remove the window. Question is how do i remove it?

Are you meaning to fit a Trickle Vent? If so measure the ge and screw holes if there was one previously , if not pick a size you want to fit...and pray the window doesn't have any metal reinforcing in it!. If its upstairs I'd be u screwing the opening sash and doing it on the floor. If its a fixed window , removing the glass is a advisable due to clearance issues , you dont want to break the glass!
