4 less people dying over 24 years is great. It’s less great if efforts could have been spent elsewhere with better results. It’s also pretty meaningless if traffic volumes on those roads fell. This is why city wide schemes have failed. Eventually people can’t avoid them.Significant falls in the number of those killed or seriously injured (20MPH zones) is welcome news.
