Hi all,

Im looking to replace an old thermostat on my hot water cylinder as it has stopped functioning properly. The old thermostat is an ESi manual thermostat and the new one I'm trying to wire up in an Esi digital thermostat which is a newer model. They both wire up differently, but I can not find manuals/wiring diagrams for the old thermostat so I have no idea which wire is what.

Please see attached images, the first 2 pictures are the old thermostat, as you can see on the 2nd pic, there are 3 wires that come into it, a white (that goes to the right) and 2 yellow cables (one that looks to go to the temperature knob, and other looks like it goes to the safety cutout switch) The black and green/yellow wires are jumper wires between the 2 blocks.

As you can see from pics 3 & 4, the newer thermostat has a completely different layout with a block of 5 possible connection points (N,L,C,NC & NO)

Any help with wiring the new thermostat correctly would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Andy

Thanks,

Is there any way around that or is that new thermostat simply no good for what I need?

What are the 3 wires currently coming in to the old thermostat? Guessing live, switched live and earth?

Cheers
