I have neither so I'd like to get one that I can do things mortice joints etc. You mention that you use Thor Nylon Faced hammer for delicate work. Which of these look good for more heavy-duty work like mortice joints?

I definitely need a flexible adhesive for a couple of floorboards that's going under two doors. It like to glue the board (the adjescent boards will be nailed to joist) to stop it from moving or clunking as you said. By normal silicone do you mean a silicone bathroom sealant or similar?

I have a few floorboards that I need to lay over a steel beam. What adhesive should I use for that. If you can recommend an adhesive that's sold widely, e.g., in Screwfix or Toolstation, then that would be preferable. Thanks

Axminster sell the self-adhesive sandpaper in 600, 1250, and 2500 grit only. Is the 600 course enough and is the 2500 fine enough or did you get other ones elsewhere?
