    Sealing grout shower area

I've never used it. I keep the things clean and spend 30 seconds with a katcher vac if I can be bothered in winter months to remove most of the water to help stop condensation.

Cleaning algae, lichen and moss off a wooden gate

After washing let it dry and use some wood treatment which will prevent more algae growth. Unfortunately there is no permanent treatment but a wash over once a year and treat every 3 or 4 years, all will be fine. I guess its a spot that's perfect for getting problems with moss and algae

I stuck mine on gumtree. Free. Buyer collects. Went same day. About 50 slabs. Pavers would be useful if they match existing. Have a look to see similar adverts

    Flight Costs

I know it's said to use the browser incognito mode when looking for tickets.. The more you look and they track your interest the higher the price. Mates flown back one way from the middle east for £280, but that was booked 2 months ago

    What's Behind Plaster?

Use to buy lime wash in bags as it's a powder. Mix with water and brush on. It's like a mushroom colour but dries snow white. Was also used to mark football pitch lines back in 70s I was told

    Repairing smsll items

@robinbanks I'm neutral to your advice. I've tried everything from plastic hard glue to 2 part resin glue. Even 2 pack resin and fiberglass. The best was baking soda and super glue once on a vacuum fitting but took effort sanding back. Like your said. There are so many plastics and so far in...

    Repairing smsll items

You can buy velcro and cut to width and length off eBay and use fabric glue to stick. Then a few stitches so it never moves... Anything plastic is very difficult to mend. Plastic can't be glued with any strength but you can buy a heater for wire and melt a joint.

    Peeling paint remedy

As you say. Yeah.. Crack on. Hardest part Is getting the loose off. Often we leave some that later starts to peel. That looks like a condensation issue I think? Same old advice. More insulation above ceiling if you can and start running a dehumidifier in the evenings and don't dry washing in...

    Plaster & lead paint

The water probably kept the dust level low to zero when you took paper off. I've probably striped 100s of jobs with lead paint present over the years, but I carry a tester now and much more careful now. I know plenty of decorators and i heard a few say they drank milk when using lead paint years...

    Damp treatment under vinyl floor

Drain gully cracks where water comes out so not all the water goes down drain. Some gets under foundations. I've seen liquid dpc used but if it a old house with no plastic under floor you have limited options.
