Could you check my CH layout please

That's pretty much what I'm doing. Running the magic D plan :) I've gone for a 250l tank though as it's a twin coil tank, so with a thermal collector and excess solar elec running the immersion in hoping the boiler will hardly have much to do to bring the temp up. I wasn't going to do all the...

How to connect to copper tail?

Did you wrap ptfe tape on any of the threads?

Could you check my CH layout please

Hmmm, I think I'm following... So because we are likely to be using the CH more than the HW, mounting the valve backwards as such will mean the spring will be at rest and the motor not energised when the CH is being used. And therefore I guess the motor will switch on and divert flow to HW which...

Could you check my CH layout please

Oooh interesting, I've never heard of a D plan before. So went to do some reading and I couldn't find anything on the net that said owt about a D plan??What is one bud? I thought the 3 port would be fitted in a Y plan, so either hot water or CH but not both together?

Could you check my CH layout please

I'm sorry buddy but I'm not sure what you mean lol! A Honeywell 3 port valve in a Y plan if that's what you mean? :)

Could you check my CH layout please

Haha. There more to a pipe than a hole lol. The 2 back to back are about 1.5 metres from the flow and return and so I'm just going to put them on their own feeds. It'll make life easier if I ever move them down the line.

Could you check my CH layout please

Yes I figured it might be a bit low for the boiler, but sadly the rf24 is the smallest of the 3. However, running in open therm I'm hoping the boiler will modulate down and stay at a low output. Hot water wise it won't be on a great deal if at all. It also won't be the sole heat provider, we...

Could you check my CH layout please

Hello mate, Yes I'd read from one of your posts on another thread from a while back about that. Thankfully, I have oversized my rads anyway to help the boiler condense, so they are all 23-35% bigger than they need to be. Lucky really as i've already bought them before i discovered the pipe...

Could you check my CH layout please

Afternoon all. Many thanks to everyone that chipped in, as always it's really appreciated. I've done some reading this last few days into the flow and head...... wowsers there was so much more to pipes than i ever knew! Been really interesting reading actually, made my little bit of grey matter...

Could you check my CH layout please

Aye, I'd noticed I'd uploaded my first pic I'd taken, I subsequently added the piping and the measurements in case it helped. Decided it wouldn't matter and you could see what it would be connected to. Yeah the intergas eco 24 is able to run as a system boiler as such, so will be running the UV...

Could you check my CH layout please

Morning pal. So I did some reading last night, indeed a LOT more to the pipe work than I had appreciated. It's great fun learning all the ins and outs:) I'll have to sit down this evening and get a pen and paper out and work the maths out. Need to find out the flow rate from the boiler pump...

Could you check my CH layout please

Yes, new boiler, new UV tank, new pipework, new rads. I'd decided to go a bit further with 22 figuring it would be better for the flow? I've also got a load of 22mm armaflex pipe and as yet no 15mm pipe insulation lol. Would you suggest I didn't then? Edit forgot to answer your question about...

Could you check my CH layout please

Hello all. So I've drawn up what I think my CH layout should be. Could you have a look over it and tell me if it's sh1te or if there's something i should do differently please? It is not to scale, but close enough. The key is at the bottom, but basically the red and blue is 22mm flow and return...

    To kill a gas pipe

Aye, it really is a simple job for someone, so for a couple of quid cash a local bloke will pop and do it. I decided not to mess with it, the downsides outweigh the small cost saving shall we say lol. I can't really ask the guy who's possibly doing the system install, as he lives over an hour away.

    To kill a gas pipe

.... only takes a match. Hello all. Probably a simple one for ypu lot.... Gas pipe from meter runs for about 12 feet across the garage wall to the boiler. I am going to rip the central heating out in the next week or so and obviously I'll need to take the boiler off the wall. Can I turn the...

4 towel rads, and an evohome

Sounds like a B movie doesn't it. :D Hi everyone. So basically, the new central heating system will have 4 towel rads (1 bathroom, 2 shower rooms and a downstairs WC). Whilst I appreciate the consensus is to not for TRVs on towel rads, should I leave all of them without? I've got a Honeywell...
