    There's lots wrong with it and you've been told that waste water does not run uphill.The pipe going through the back of that unit needs to be lowered.You need a new hole drilled lower down as you have been told above.

    Your waste pipe should not be higher than the trap outlet and yours is even higher than the washing machine hose. This is not helping your problem.

    Any pipe,push fit or solvent will fit that trap but not that elbow.Swap the elbow for a compression one.
