    As per title, having had a new thermostat fitted, whenever the heating goes to run, pop goes the fuse. Any ideas? Picture attached. Apparently it's a three wire installation.. but there's four

    Some more photos to show extent. Hope I've got enough filler. Should I try and flake bits off? or just try and sand them down cheers

    It some sort of silicone(?) stuff put on it before it was painted last time (9 years ago) as the new paint started to bubble up.. will that suffice?
