Thanks for your reply I didnt know it was something called artex..!! If instead of removing it can I get some type of filler or paste and skim over it so the surface becomes smooth and then paint over it...?

Yes they dont supply a lot air but are adequate for the dental work as I know they are used by other dental students. These compressors are in a range of £300 pounds and if I go for a bigger storage tank the price shoots up quite a lot so these are the only kind i can go for..!!
