Hot water won't come out of one tap

Madrab, Terry Plumb. Thank you so much. Tried the hose and then tried the hand underneath to force water back into the hot water and after doing it for the last couple of hours it's finally sorted!!! How do I buy you both a pint as thanks?

Hot water won't come out of one tap

Ok. So from my understanding upstairs cold comes from the water tank and it's only the downstairs that comes from the tank. I tried your technique and it seems to have done something as I now have a trickle of hot water coming out of the hot water side and I can feel the hot water pipe is now...

Hot water won't come out of one tap

There's no isolation valve. Water will come out of the tap, but just not on hot side.

Hot water won't come out of one tap

All the other taps are putting out hot water. When I feel the pipes behind the sink though it's not hot.

Hot water won't come out of one tap

I have a water tank in the attic and a gas boiler and an immersion tank. Yesterday I drained the system (including the water tank in the roof) because I wanted to fit some isolation valves which I didn't actually fit. Wood Flooring to Tiles Transition

I am installing wood flooring in the hallway, and then tiles in the downstairs toilet. The wood flooring is about 8mm higher than the tiles. Can I just glue down a marine ply floor in the toilet and then tile on top of that so that it's all the same level? or would cement board be better?

    chase copper pipe

Ok. Thank you. So just chisel out a long line, and then screw into the breeze block? Should I use any foam or anything? Structurally is it okay for me to cut a strip into the breeze block about 1.5m? Because I am moving the pipe in (if only a couple of cm's what is the best way to extend each...

    chase copper pipe

Sorry, what do you mean "don't chase?". Do you mean don't let it touch the breeze block? I've since read that it's not good for copper pipes to touch breeze blocks.

    chase copper pipe

I have a cold water pipe that is running along my wall for my downstairs toilet. I would like to chase it into the wall, so that I can then put tongue and groove over the top without the box at the bottom. Is this okay to do? Will it be a problem if I chisel into the breeze blocks?
