What's the easiest way of running this cable?

Really. I thought I'd have to make a small chase. Place conduit/wire in said chase. Then slap on some 5 to 1 sand/cement to fill the chase and paint over.

Outdoor lighting with Pir advice needed

@pcaouolte @ericmark You guys have gone above and beyond. I couldn't be happier with the advice provided. Both of your suggestions took me down a PIR vs Smart Lighting Rabbit hole  I think Smart Lighting and Switches are the way forward tbh, plus it will be a simpler wiring job for...

Outdoor lighting with Pir advice needed

That's awesome. Many thanks for the advice. Never knew about the dual tech PIR. Brilliant! Smart tech! That's also a great shout too. Smart lighting and smart switches could be the way forward. Plenty of options to think about.

How to enlargen granite sink tap hole

I took this advice and aborted the DIY mission. I got a tradesman in to do the job.. and without batting an eyelid, he took out his core drill and diamond bit and enlarged the hole in seconds. Like a knife through warm butter. Got to be honest, I am a bit annoyed, because I feel like I could...

How to enlargen granite sink tap hole

I have a granite sink and I want to change the mixer tap. I have removed the old tap. When I tried to put the new one on the hole, it wouldn't fit. So I need to enlarge the hole somehow. I have a pic. And the existing hole is about 32mm wide.. So just a few mm should see me there. But I...

Suitable cable to hardwire nest thermostat to heat link

Apparantly the ideal cable to use is 0.75mm 2 Core CY control flex cable. HOwever all of the electrical shops like CEF, TLC etc either hadn't heard of it or they didn't carry it in store. Given the above what other cable can I use?

How to remove metal bar from floor? Screws rusted

Rusty metal bar has been screwed down (through tile and concrete floor). I want to remove the metal bar but all of the screws have rust heads. I tried to 'shock' the screw by gently hitting with a hammer/chisel and the screw broke off. In total there are 7 screws. And I place some new screw...
