Coincidentally I've emailed the estate agents yesterday to see if they can contact them and ask.

    Unknown switch

Each red is from a different twin and earth. Both blacks in the choc block, netural I've presumed. I've tested both reds to black switch on/off 240v on each test.

    Unknown switch

I moved in to my current house 3 months ago. It had a garage conversion part of which is a utility. In said utility there's 1 ceiling light and 2 2 gang light switches. They both do the main light and the one by the back door also does the garden light, however the other switch does nothing at...

    DIY UPVC windows

Evening all. I need new windows. Bottom line is I can't afford at an estimate £15k to get them done. I'm pretty competent in DIY and am an engineer by trade so quite good with my hands. So basically I've watched a few you tube tutorials and fancy having a go but from the experts is it...

    External LED security lights

Ones on the back of the house the others on the side. The gardens very long but maybe 7-10m deep and runs landscape to the house so the distance of the light isn't an issue. I was just surprised how much the LED lights were at £50+ compared to when I last bought a Halogen equivalent.

    External LED security lights

Also my current lights are just run off a light switch 2 gang dining room switch and outside light switch. any issues with...

I'm still faffing with this guys. Slightly put off by the lack of digital display on the Enforcers wireless keypad. Any thoughts on this?

Looking for a Doorbell that can display picture of caller

I've been after one of these for ages but £150 + subscription for a door bell is a bit OTT.

Insulating a Single skin external wall

Awesome thank you. Regarding the top edge that I'd be flashing, would it be acceptable to simply attach a piece of treated timber at the desired angle for the water to then run down the flashing?

Insulating a Single skin external wall

Hi guys. I have a single skin external wall backing my stove builders opening. I'm getting a fair bit of condensation. Can I insulate it externally? Would it be as easy as battening it, Rockwool, then cladding with some flashing on the top edge? (I'm no pro, correct me if I'm wrong!)...
