Hi Dan,
Thanks, but if it doesn't would that type of set up be acceptable in principle?
Off of the top of my head I think the boiler can go to 8 meters on the 100/60, and further on the larger flue, obviously minus distance for bends. - I will check shortly; it is also possible that I...
Perhaps, but then I am more motivated to find a solution than anyone else, and just because you cant think of one, does not necessarily mean that their isn't one.
If I actually got answers to my questions, then I could understand things better, and then perhaps I could come up with options...
Thanks Tom, I did see that option, but the roof has a very low pitch, and Veluxs.
Can anyone tell me if the 3 degree slope is a max? I couldn't come out of the roof on say a 45 deg bend?
I see that the people that make the roof flashing that vaillant recommend, do a 'Box' That allows...
Thanks Tony,
I had thought of that, unfortunately on the gable side where the Boiler is shown in the plans my neighbour has outbuildings attached to the party wall. and on the other side, which would be technically possible (with a couple of inspection hatches) my neighbours are...
Yea, well I had assumed that what was marked on the plans would be achievable, after all that's why you pay people to produce plans and get them through building control right?....
It was only now the builders have finished the blockwork, and I am due to put the roof on, that I was looking...
I got the boiler put in the old outside toilet, to keep it out of the dust etc while I was renovating the house. However, the toilet will need to be demolished shortly as it is immediately in front of the new kitchen window. Currently the flue exits the back of the toilet.
sloppytom - Thanks, I don't want to get the boiler moved to the loft - if there is no way of having it located as shown on the plans I will get it put by the window in the kitchen. Also thanks for letting me know the bends etc cannot be external, I assumed that was the case but the manual does...
Hi, I am looking for a little guidance on flue arrangements.
I have a Vaillant ecoTEC plus 837 boiler, and due to an extension build this will need to be relocated. Ideally I would like the boiler positioned as shown in the plans below. (I realise it would be much simpler to have it placed...
Hi,
I have been given a HNV270 dryer, the previous owner took it apart to change the belt, however they could not put it back together as there is a "spare" red wire...
Instead of disconnecting the connection blocks they have dismantled the panels, and pulled all the switches out of...
Thanks Hotwire,
I have already ordered the one i linked to though... if I have the same issue as you I will investigate other alternatives, though If i go for something huge it will have to go in the loft, with a remote switch.
I know this is an old post, but did you sort this out in the end? I am looking to do the same, and notice that:

Seems to be the same as...
No in parallel, each under one cavity leaf. As you say the calcs have been done and im sure it will be ok, and if there are any issues the BCO will pick it up, but I was just looking for information as I like to fully understand everything I do, and am just interested in the strength...
Thanks Deluks,
The other UB specs were for 2 UB's to be bolted together. It would seem to me that the UB's would be much stronger than the PFC's, But I havent seen a PFC in the flesh as it were.
For reference we are talking about UB's 305x127x37 Vs PFC @200x90x30 either way bolted...
Hi,
I've had pans drawn up for an extension and it specifies PFC's bolted back to back. Just out of general interest, can some one point me in the direction of comparative span tables, or give me a rough run down on the strength differences? I am just curious as some time ago I had calcs...
Hi,
I want to run a single 1W 240v GU10 LED fitting off of a spur on the ring final. I have limited room, is there any reg that would stop me using an appropriately rated inline fuse holder, connected to a DPST toggle switch?
Cheers.
Hi,
If a RSJ is fully enclosed in a wall, does it need additional fire protection, or is 12.5mm Plasterboard + skim sufficient, as when a beam is enclosed within a ceiling?
cheers!
