An off set connector? Just to be clear the midpoint of toilet outlet and soil pipe is the same height i.e. 180mm. Wondering if I either need to buy a different toilet or put the current one on a piece of ply wood to get a downward slope.

When measuring the horizontal offset height between a toilet outlet and a soil pipe where do you measure from? Do you measure from the floor to the toilet spigot inside lip or do you measure from the floor to the outside edge? Or is it better to measure to the mid point of the outlet? Trying...

The new branch pipe is temporarily terminated with one of those speedfit plastic ends. There's no isolation valve. Could take the plastic end off as it's installed of the bath.

I haven't actually connected the shower yet. I think your suggestion of cleaning out the kitchen tap is first step to take. Now I just need to get the aerator off, it's a bit stuck.
