Personally I wouldn't put anything on it as it's got a rubber o ring I think

What side would it go on ? . I'm also thinking of replacing the auto air vent on the pump , I don't think it's working properly as my pump has been loud since my last drain down

Brilliant thanks , I might put the inhibitor in soon then ask my gas guy to fit a filter in the summer (with the annual service) . Pity you can't get a 15mm filter

I'm confused , it's fitted the wrong way so I can use it ?

Just looking at my pipes .For some reason they are reduced to 15mm just under the boiler all them filters seem to be 22mm

My boiler must be around 15 years old I'm guessing . Would the filter be used on a new boiler if I need one soon ?

Where on the system would you recommend ? And what filter would be best ?

I've got some fernox express , I'm just going to let some water out and squirt it in through the filling loop , hopefully everything goes well !

Not sure if this would make any difference but before I repaired the diverter valve I had a leak , I was topping up the boiler every week for 6 months .

I have nothing like that at all . I have 2 booklets one saying users operating instructions and the other installation and servicing instructions

I've changed a radiator + drained the boiler down to change a part in the diverter valve. I do have all the installation stuff but it doesn't mention chemicals

I recently changed some parts in my boiler and lost some water . I was about to put in some fernox but I don't know what was put In previously ( my gas guy didn't fit it ) . Would it be bad having 2 types of inhibitor in the system ?(it's been over 10 years since the old stuff was put in )

How much water should I let out first if I use the filling loop ? . Should I let the water out from a radiator or the boiler drain point ?

Not sure if it would work with your small hole but you can get fernox express . I've never used it and not sure if it's any good
