    Fixing wooden board to tiles

Don't worry about cracking tiles, tile bits really cut nice and smooth. IMO, the tungsten spade type ones are easiest to start, and the cylindrical ones need more control/measures to stop them skidding. Just remember not to centre-punch the tile first.

    Rising Damp \ Subsidence?

You have a cavity wall, so no amount of water on the external path should be getting to the inner wall and plaster - if it is you have a different problem with a blocked cavity, or another issue with the internal damp course/membrane. It's common for infilled ground following an excavation for...

Will I be allowed to build rear extension like this?

Is it? I don't know. What you need to do is clarify if you are building over land to which others have access rights, and then determine how that impacts your plans.

Cut diagonal brace - can I repair it?

A trussed roof can't spread, so that would negate the landlords reasoning for a SE report. Your installer should arrange any inspection and confirm that their proposed install will be OK on the trusses. That should be enough for the landlord A brace is structural. It braces the trusses! Fit...

Will I be allowed to build rear extension like this?

No Planning law and property law are distinct, and having planning permission to build over land, does not give permission for the thing to be built under any other restrictive law or regulations.

Will I be allowed to build rear extension like this?

A permission granted over 3 years ago and not significantly started would normally lapse and require a new application. Generally that situation is common, and as long as permission is granted via a formal application, and it's not done under permitted development, the proposal would be valid...

Multiple cracks In Exterior Masonry (up to 4mm) - Insurance not worried but should they be? with pictures

For related internal cracking, it would tend to be in the same location and more or less follow the same path. Not up by the ceiling or in some other random place. Random straight cracks in in plaster tend to be at the at board joints and not really related to structural movement, unless...

    Is this a sign subsidence?

I've popped into Paddy Power and put £1.50 @ 4/1 on it being the cill expansion. Brickwork above the crack at the left of the frame looks like it moved up rather than that to the right moved down. Re-bar is like the little old Chinese man in the films. Looks like he has no strength to hurt a...

    Damp rising through foundations

Render should be finished in a way that causes water to run off and away from the wall below. Google "render bellcast" Render should also finish at DPC level - not above and not below. If water is running back to the wall and if this is the issue, you'll need to try and insert a vertical strip...

Multiple cracks In Exterior Masonry (up to 4mm) - Insurance not worried but should they be? with pictures

Reconstituted stone is very intolerant of thermal movement and relies on a highly flexible mortar to deal with the normal expansion and contraction of masonry panels. Those cracks are even, and are in the places where thermal cracking would normally occur. Any other movement associated with...
