    Hanging internal doors

That sounds much easier (and cheaper), will it be easy to put the glass in? And thank you - I think you have answered most if not all of my stupid questions on here so far

    Hanging internal doors

Possible stupid question alert! I need 2 new internal doors, urgently. I'll be buying the doors and paying a local joiner to fit and hang them but I don't really have the time to get the door prepared and glossed before hanging....is it imperative that I do this? Or can I just get the doors...

    Wickes Undercoat

Wow, yes definitely crazy prices! This is actually only for my spare bedroom and we will be painting over the undercoat with a dark colour anyway, so is it *really* necessary to get such a high quality/expensive undercoat?

    Wickes Undercoat

Has anyone used this? If so, can anyone compare the original 'Wickes quick dry undercoat' http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Quick-Dry-Undercoat/invt/163402 to this? the 'Master undercoat' http://www.wickes.co.uk/Master-Undercoat/invt/605158 The only thing I can see is the drying...

    Decorating a wall with curtains?

Has anyone ever done/seen this? If so, what do you think? Seriously considering ceiling to floor curtains as a feature wall to cover up some hideous built in cupboards rather than sanding, painting and trying to minimise their appearance with press catches as suggested previously by someone...

    Fixing a border with plaster???

Hi all, In the midst of decorating our new(ish) house. We noticed in the bedroom there were blobs of something all the way around the top of the wall, so we assumed this was border glue, however upon stripping the wallpaper and paint and having a good go with a sheet of sandpaper and then...

    Help with preparation please!

Also....although I am aware you shouldn't really scrimp on decorating but I wondered what people thought of primer/undercoats which are multipurpose, to save buying 2 different products? I'm looking at International 3 in 1 from Homebase...... :?:

    Help with preparation please!

Hi! Thanks for your reply :D There doesn't seem to be any problem with the walls - it is the lack of ventilation, because of this the rooms get lots of condensation, especially the wall below the window which is where this special paper was, so I don't think it is damp per se....so should...

    Help with preparation please!

Hello everyone, A while ago I posted asking for some decorating advice and I received some very helpful replies. I am now getting round to sorting this, but I have a few queries/questions on preparation: We have stripped the wallpaper off the walls using a steamer, and found some uneven...

That entire back wall is wood save for the alcove which is the original wall, the rest is built in wardrobes/cupboards. Hideous, which is why I hope to rectify it. :D

If you reckon those colours will look good, why the " " ? We were thinking of a down lighter or something in the alcove actually. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, you've been a great help. Although if red is hot, and blue is cold, then surely purple will be "warm"?
