How do you wipe your ass?

This reminds me of someone I used to work with a very loooong time ago. We were both in our twenties. He lived in a bedsit and his landlady did his washing for him. He told us she was forever complaining about the skids in his pants. It seems his idea of wiping his arse was a single wipe and no...

How do you wipe your ass?

How come no one has mentioned the very important question of 'Scrunch or fold' ? I find scrunching gets a better 'grip' and a better wipe. Folding uses less paper and is softer but I find it tends to 'spread' rather than clean.

    In-Line Undersink Water Heater Question?.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!! I have a 7.3Kw Dafi to supply hot water to a small sink in the toilet room in a holiday chalet in Somerset. If you are happy with a VERY slow flow of warm (not hot) water then buy one. If you want to supply a kitchen sink to wash the dishes then forget it. It's not too bad in...

Peugeot 407sw 1.6 D HDI anti pollution system.

I've had a look on the 407 forum and the best answer I can find is no help at all! 'Depollution system faulty is a generic message that is caused by many different and unrelated causes. Therefore the next step is to get the fault codes read to find out why the message is coming up. ' Do you...

Peugeot 407sw 1.6 D HDI anti pollution system.

Have you tried the 407 Owners forum - http://www.407owners.com/forums/index.php They are good bunch and pretty helpful. Got a 407 myself, 407SW 2.0l hdi but as it's the X-Line model it doesn't have the depollution system so I can't help you.

How to dispose of old tools?

Have a look at your local authority web site. My local (Rhondda Cynon Taf) have 7 sites where you can drop off anything from a toaster to a fridge/freezer.

    Keyfuels card anyone??

I found out yesterday that you don't get the Morrisons 'Miles' when paying with the card :( I'll give it some time to see how things go around the country but I can see it being a pain having to look up the nearest place to fill up wherever I'm working. After driving half way across the country...

    Keyfuels card anyone??

The company I work for has just switched from Allstar fuel cards to Keyfuels cards. I travel all over the country in my trusty Transit and never had any problem with Allstar. From first look Keyfuels cards are not accepted in anywhere near as many places as the Allstar. Anyone out there using a...

    Instant water heater problem

So every time you want water you have to go out and turn the stop cock on and off? If it's for hot water and a shower that would mean both the kitchen sink and shower come on as soon as the stop cock is turned on? Sureley the shower and sink have separate controls and you would regulate the temp...

Where are you seeing adverts? I only use the forum part of the site but I've never seen an advert. If you are constantly getting pop up adverts then that would suggest you've been infected - well you PC has! Have you run MalwareBytes anti malware (https://www.malwarebytes.com/ - go for the free...

    Smart Meters

If it's an open cycle gas turbine then no steam is involved. Basically it's a big jet engine powered by gas. In fact some, Taylors Lane in London for example, used the same turbines as in Concorde to drive the generators. In a CCGT power station a 'HRSG' (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) is used...

    Smart Meters

I'm with Dork Lard and EFLImpudence on this one. I like to know that no one has ability to turn off or alter my supply without my knowledge plus the way hackers are going these days smart meters will soon be targeted. After all if they can be bothered to hack light bulbs (Phillips smart bulbs -...

    Thread for arguing about "Transformers"

It's not just SMPS that can do (most) of the above. The transformers I work with can certainly create interference to other equipment. You are not allowed near one if you have a pacemaker and they can also play hell with computer equipment. They may not produce ultra sonic noise but the hum that...

    Thread for arguing about "Transformers"

This thread has helped explain a lot to me. It seems for years I've been confusing 'Transformers' with 'Transvestites'. I've always wondered why they scream when I connect them to a 230v supply

    Perks of the job?

I get sent on 'training courses', usually once a year. Last year was 4 days in Singapore, the year before was Prague and before that was 7 days in Montreal. I'm not complaining :D

    Solar Panels

Modern cooling towers are actually quite small and not towers any more. Basically they are large radiators with bloody huge fans. Personally would rather see them (and a CCGT or Nuke) power station rather than miles and miles of windmills.
