Not wrong though; Everyday50 was a genius leg up over other network offerings, as was Orange Wednesdays pizza express & cinema. Great times

    soldering AAA batteries

Perhaps very old phones had them, and the OP does appear to be trying to keep dinosaur tech alive. I’ve a Nokia 1011 somewhere (that Wikipedia says has a NiCd battery), and notionally it does still work in that it sends SMS, and makes phone calls https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_1011 But…...

    Window catching

At the top and bottom you should see some kind of ramped block that helps the window locate and be secure. Is it catching on that, and not sliding down it? Could that be the thing that cause the original hinge to bend? (if it’s misaligned)

Roller and mini roller sleeve...same texture...advice needed please

I find it easier to just take the screws out, pull the face away and big roller the whole thing around a socket They mostly wipe clean easy if you miss, as long as they aren’t some brass/brushed metal thing

    Scrim Tape Query

They’ll be faster than you too, reeling it out and cutting it with the trowel Some tape screw holes Where the new PB joins the exiting wall, are you gonna run a grinder down the existing wall to match the heights either side of the join?

    soldering AAA batteries

Removing a upvc French door set that is rendered outside and platerboarded inside.

The main question is whether you want to keep the door and sell/use it elsewhere, or if you want to skip it

    soldering AAA batteries

Are you sure you’re not thinking of soldering tabs welded onto batteries? You can buy batteries with tabs on already ..but if you’re having to go to such lengths because the battery is no longer made, what good is the phone likely to be, really?

Creating a Sunburst Ceiling decoration on a budget?

Seems you’re allowed up to the seating area; can you take a decent camera or a long selfie stick? it looks like cable trunking cut at 45 degrees

How to repair dead dry battery (True or false)

Don’t waste your time; if it’s goosed to the point of needing an influencer’s clickbait to tell you to fill it wilt Epsom salts it really needs replacing. Even if you get a bit of charge into it, it will let you down at some critical future point, in the snow, 100 miles from home

Earth - neutral fault on ring final, any ideas on how to find with ease.

Are you doing this in halves? Disconnect at CU end, check for fail (should show on both), disconnect half way round, only one should fail (unless two faults), disconnect that one half way etc If you can gauge the route of the ring that is.. If there isn’t an obvious route I suppose you could...

    Window catching

Luke, does the top hinge stay in the pictured position if you try and pull it towards the centre of the opening(does the sliding lockout work effectively) Can you try and get pictures of the top and bottom of the moving part of the window frame, to see if the hinge is still well mounted there?

Anyway to repair this Power washer cable? (photos)

Disagree, the braiding resists the pressure and appears in good condition but should be covered up so it doesn’t become damaged. The outer casing is to protect the braiding

House price gravy train may have hit the buffers

But equally, it’s not paid you as much as it looks when factoring in all the other things that rose over 15 years, including the cost of the place you moved to? Ah but apparently paying off their debts is what poor people do. Rich people find other people to pay off their debts. Now there’s a...

Anyway to repair this Power washer cable? (photos)

Mmm, I really think that photo of the black thing with the missing chunks showing the white thing is the high pressure water hose. It bears the text “max 60*C” which is typical for a jet hose: Anyhoos: That there with the white showing is more likely to have been damaged by lying on an...

    Setting out blockwork from foundation

On the context of a garden room, I’d be unconcerned about skipping it and just putting the insulation on the dpm on the well compacted base and liquid screeding it If you’ve already dug out for the level, crack on; it’s not a huge expense of concrete, it’s just work shovelling 3 tons of it...

Ok to spray paint on cables?

“Don’t use things; some other things, some where, can cause some things to happen to them, so perhaps other other things else elsewhere can also cause things to happen” Mmm. Definitely a useful mantra
