    Octopus Smart meter.

As the government say you don't HAVE to have a smart meter I find that difficult to believe. Is your current meter labelled saying it has to be calibrated after a certain date. A new one on me to be honest. I thought they were only supposed to need doing after 25 years if ever. I also would have...

Bank Holiday caravan site building again?

Yes they are warm on the surface but stab you in the back as you walk away. I've learned that from personal experience. And I'm not talking about a minority.

    Sealing pipe entering plastic riser?

The way I read that post most of the answers are saying the same thing I did in my last post. That is, for surface water from your gully there would be no need for any means of rodding it as it is never going to block up and feeding into the base of the chamber with no back drop as it is not...

    Sealing pipe entering plastic riser?

To be honest I have only been involved with domestic waste drainage and never industrial which your link refers to. I've never heard of a back drop and personally would have put a rodding eye in the pipe attached to the gully then connected into the base of the chamber rather than break into...

    A missing friend

Not sure now if it was F/B or Reddit or Quora or another site to be honest but someone was asking about it as they have been experiencing problems for some time. In my own experience our O2 transmitter was down for the whole of January I think, so that is another, perhaps in Potugal, possibility.

    New En Suite Shower

Advice would be do a lot more research or better yet get a professional in. Nothing looks worse or causes more problems than a codged up shower.

    Sealing pipe entering plastic riser?

I'm assuming you want to connect a back inlet gully or similar that is fed by a downspout into the chamber without digging down to the base. I don't know if that would contravene any regulations but if not I would think you only need to ensure that it is a rat proof connection. Perhaps something...

Please put me out of my misery - two by double switch in an old house - lots of dodge/cut wires

Not at all daft because without a lot more information he/she is going to need someone on site. Or this post will be an awfully long one :giggle:

    Beko DCU 8280

If you cannot meeasure a voltage across the coil pins in the socket then you should be able to tell if it's energising by pulling it in and feel it click on when you put it back. Or is it soldered to the pcb? At least that would tell you if it is just a contact problem.

    Beko DCU 8280

Don't know anything about your machine but it sounds like you are on the right lines. The only question I would ask is when the float is operating the tank full switch is it because of the water level and not just mechanically stuck in that position. Secondly is there another sensor that...

What sort of noise? If it's plastic, could it be expansion and contraction

Aparently there are ongoing problems with internet providers in Portugal. Perhaps that is all that's wrong.

Keep it simple. Independant switch with run on timer fan.

    Cracking idea, or crackers.

It's too good to be true makes me think you have serious doubts about it and nothing can be said from those pics. apart from it needs a lot of remedial work. Is it very cheap? Is there any danger of it falling into the sea? You really need to get professional advice from a surveyor, preferably a...

    Isolating Switch

You just need some means of isolating it which the light switch appears to be doing.
