    Outdoor Socket

Do you not already have RCDs in your consumer unit? If not, you should consider upgrading that.

Routing Ethernet transversely to I-joists from front to back of house

They are "resilient bars", which are supposed to acoustically separate the ceiling from the joists. I think you could probably run your cables anywhere you want in there, within reason.

I think mine is called “sprint”. Or maybe “spirit”. Something ‘sp” but not “sport”.

Advice for water to Garden Cabin

I'll assume that your "sparky partner" understands the issues with an electric shower on the end of 50m of cable... Unless you have a huge budget for something all-singing-and-dancing, I think modern electric showers are probably all pretty similar. I bought a 9.5kW Mira from Screwfix, it's fine.

Would liquid screed take care of small bounce in PIR?

No, it could be pretty significant if you put a lot of screws in. Steel conducts something like 1,000 times as well as the insulation. This is normally discussed in the context of walls, where there is a concern that you’ll have a pattern of cold spots on the finished wall surface that will get...

    TV coax cable

Those numbers are good. Do you always see those numbers, or do they vary? Do you see the pixelation on all channels? What sort of pixelation is it? Do you see less pixelation viewing the same channels elsewhere?

Would liquid screed take care of small bounce in PIR?

A screw carries heat because it is made of metal, which is a good conductor of heat. Do you understand why you have PIR boards in the floor?

Would liquid screed take care of small bounce in PIR?

I wondered about those, but would they be strong enough to hold down a board in an “unnatural” position? I’ve never used on myself.

Would liquid screed take care of small bounce in PIR?

Just remember that the screw carries a lot of heat. One 4mm steel screw carries as much heat as about 100x100mm of PIR.

    What foam gun?

You can spray some of the acetone cleaner on the end of the nozzle to clean it. This may not be needed, if you scrape off the foam when you next use it. You don’t need to ‘flush’ it

    Top soil, b(u)y how much?

What sort of soil is it? Sandy, clay, or loam? My local cheapo supplier offers “re-shredded mushroom compost” as a soil conditioner. I guess other products will be available elsewhere, including “council” compost that they’re not allowed to describe as “compost” because someone might have put a...

    Top soil, b(u)y how much?

One place I’ve bough from describes their bags as “25kg / 20l”. You want 2 x 55 x 0.25 = 27.5 cubic feet = 3x3x3 feet = 90x90x90 cm = 9x9x9 litres = 729 litres = 900 kg I reckon you need one bulk bag. Are you sure you want topsoil, rather than some sort of mulch?

    Freeview aerial comparison

Unless you have very low signal strength where you are, it will be fine. The RF input circuitry just amplifies the signal to the level it needs.

    Toilet shower room without window

With no window, the light will always be on when the room is used. So connecting the fan to the light is fine.

    What foam gun?

Yeah. Unless you're not going to use if for a year or two.... which is the position I've found myself in. It does eventually gunge up, and at that point you might as well replace the gun.

    Scrim Tape Query

What's the construction of the existing wall? Are you going to redecorate both? I have taped corners like that (and ceiling joins). Same as corner in new plasterboard; apply compound, bed paper tape into compound, more compound over etc. Note I am a complete amateur.

    What foam gun?

The liquid doesn't start to expand and harden until it has left the gun nozzle into the atmosphere. The liquid in the gun tube should, in theory, happily remain liquid for a long time, just like the liquid that is still in the can. Once you remove the empty can from the gun, the liquid in the...
