Don't EVs take more energy to produce?, i believe it's around 20 000 mileage to reach the same carbon footprint of an new undriven ICE vehicle?

I used waterbased Bedec Aqua advanced on the stairs, reason being it dries quicker than normal gloss, so stairs can be back in use sooner, opps is better qualified than me to recommend products and methods (y)
Painting it would be cheaper as Johnny said, i took up my carpet last year, and used non slip stair treads from Amazon because the house Rabbit kept slipping on the painted tread, make sure you prep the stairs well before painting.
It does look like it needs replacing, the arch above should be fine, but the brickwork on the door will fall, you could use timber/UPVC to fill the gap between, but that Facebook frame is far too low.
