Trying to get smooth finish on final coat of varnish on wood floor

I've ordered some Bona Retarder - see what happens but I think you are right - I am applying too much pressure with the roller and creating bubbles. Will use a brush with the Retarder - any recommendations for quality varnish brushes for wood floors.

I think you are right. Second time I have tried and each time get air bubbles. I am tempted to use a brush which produces the finish I am after. Only thing I am not sure about with brush is keeping a wet edge as the varnish tries quickly.

    Small Fence in Front Garden

I was considering railings - I agree - solution is to get the 'lift' of rubbish too high

    Small Fence in Front Garden

By fly-tipping I mean building work rubble, bags of garden soil (from someone doing garden work I assume), bin liners of food and rubbish (from new year). I agree chicken wire will be an eye sore so decided against that idea.

    Small Fence in Front Garden

I did...someone pulled it off the wall. Was thinking about putting up sign saying no tipping but thought the sign might go the same way as cctv sign.
