Passenger seat MAT Sensor emulator.. easy to install ?

The seller will always cover themselves by saying its for test purposes only, these things normally just plug in instead of the occupancy mat and give the system the resistance it needs to see. I have not looked at the listing but i would guess its telling the car the seat is occupied at all...

    Caliper bolts sheared (Ed.)

Get them good and hot and you may stand a chance of winding them out with a mole grips or chisel them around.

Mysterious leak from plastic fuel tank.

I think I would have a go at sealing that myself with something like JB weld but make sure its fuel resistant. Obviously empty tank and cleaned up as best as possible first.

I just replaced inner and outer tie rods and now tracking is astronomically out.. normal ?

I would take it to a reputable garage and let them check over your work.

    Alloys Scuff Repair

Depends what you call a scuff, I would just live with it personally. A wheel refurb as suggested is normally needed. You can get polishing heads and compound obviously but most of the time the scuffs are too deep to do anything with.

Selling a car that's been in storage for a year

Only thing you can do is get a quote for repair, Its a very popular car so It is worth doing. Failing that advertise it warts and all on ebay specifying all known faults but that its a bit of an unknown and see where the auction goes. If it started, drove and ran you would be in a much better...

    Hyundai i20 ABS light on

The code would be handy to know, some will say abs sensor followed by mechanical problem which means its not seeing the pick up ring so it is possible to assume its the sensor when it isnt. Needs better diagnosing, you can get apps these days which are pretty good but you would need the...

    Best car history checker?

vcheck was £6.00 i think, not sure about car vertical. If you have a look at a you tube channel called high peak autos he regularly has money off deals for car vertical as they sponsor his channel.

    Best car history checker?

I use vcheck, it saved me a few months back when it flagged a write off. I was a bit too trusting of the seller and it was a car that came up via an owners club (Porsche Cayman). The good thing is that it shows photos of the vehicle damage too. Car vertical is another i have used, they are very...

    Solder on exhaust back box

Sounds silly but you could probably bond a patch on, it does not get that hot. JB Weld or similar would do it.

Spec me a decent pressure washer hose upgrade

I bought and mounted a permanent reel on my garage wall and leave the pressure washer hooked up so im able to just switch on and go. Not that cheap but one of the best things i have done. I usually buy my stuff here, they can be difficult to reach on the phone but do get back to you if you leave...

    Restoring paint on car

A lot of the you tubers get sent products for free to test etc so take some of it with a big pinch of salt, there are a few worth watching. Martin the obsessive car detailer is pretty fair, what you see on his shelf is pretty much the best of the best. Supercharged llama is very informative too...

    Restoring paint on car

It depends how bad the paintwork is, a machine polish may be required but you would probably be better off handing it over to a detailer for this and you could look after it much easier afterwards. If you did just want to sparkle it up Autoglym still make some decent products for most normal...
