I just replaced inner and outer tie rods and now tracking is astronomically out.. normal ?

I have just replaced the inner and outer tie rods on my 2012 ford mondeo
I had to put the spare wheel on the passenger side (17in idk why cos the wheels are 16 ) because the tire kept going down .

So I started driving after putting it all back together and the tracking was way way out like the wheel completely spins all the way around within 2 seconds of loosening my grip I mean as far as it will go and it spins both ways if I loosen my grip it completely full locks thr opposite way within 2 seconds and it feels as though someone is literally pulling it the opposite way .

Also the tires are screeching really badly.. is this normal or not ?
I've driven cars with the tracking out before but absolutely not as severe as this ..

Nope im serious... I had to cancel eirkung tonight at a restaurant delivering good cos of how bad the tracking it out and the tyres screeching.. is it normal for tracking to be this badly out ?

What with this and the mess in the other threads, the reality is that you have destroyed your car.

How? So you can't just say if its not just the tracking or not ?

If you mess with anything like rod ends or suspension (or anything really apart from brake stuff) it will throw your alignment out.

Sounds like you've maybe done something incorrect in your previous endeavors. We all learn somehow mate, I have made countless embarrassing errors in my years of learning/working on cars.

Seriously though mate, don't drive the car like that if is as bad as you say. Get it looked at by someone in the know

Whenever I've done it I always make sure the replacement is identical, and count the threads. You can't just guess it.

I would take it to a reputable garage and let them check over your work.

Assuming you counted the thread turns, maybe you made a mistake when refitting.
Also, an inch extra on one wheel surely doesn't do any good to how the car handles.
Why is your spare tyre 17 inch instead of 16???
