Have you tried the boiling water? It should expand the plastic and release the threads... Also try tightening first then loosening.

As @denso13 are your current pipes 150mm apart?

I'd be using them as drain offs. One can never say definitely as I'm not there. To change a high level rad you don't need to drain the whole system but if it's not been done for a while then it's good maintenance to do so. There's 2 because one is on flow the other return so open them both. Also...

Cut the cast and then use a fernco flexible coupling.

Try a hepkey (demounting tool) If you can get it off, replace with a new tee but clean up the copper pipe with an Abrasive strip first.

Have you tried tightening first, then go the other way. Hard water area? Soak it in scale remover.

And good fun... But wear gloves and goggles ;) Break it up into really small pieces and it's also then easier to dispose of in rubble sacks.

Top tip for all out there... Full sink of clean hot water and let it go, at least once a week. Helps flush the waste pipes... Just like a toilet cistern does for a bog!

@Malc Just so you're aware, @Razor900 is our "go to" engineer for all things Intergas in the Combustion Chamber He spent many years with them and knows them inside out as well as all other things system related.

Take off any non-softened feeds before the softener... Don't forget garden tap, if they have one. Softener should have a check valve built in and should also have a bypass for when it is out of order or needs servicing.
