Converting a double socket - do these parts exist?

There isn't anything, no-one makes a two gang FCU or a two gang with one FCU and one socket. You'll need to enlarge the the hole horizontally and fit one of these: 1-1-gang-galvanised-steel-back-box-35mm or you could look at grid systems but chances are you'd still need to enlarge the hole and...

How do I wire this a socket?

He didn't say that he wouldn't. He said: " IF the chosen socket faceplate is metal AND IT HAS A SEPARATE/DEDICATED earth connection for the face, that should be linked up to earth TOO" i.e. as well as the normal earth connection. Although all the metal faceplate sockets I've seen link the...

Merge In Turn, why does no one do it properly!

Coming off the A3 eastbound onto the A238 heading for the A24 at S. Wimbledon there is a 2>1 merge with a junction on the left just where the lanes merge, and >90% of the time I go through everyone does it correctly and it's seamless. So maybe there is hope!

    Domestic Aircon power supply

Given that compact type A double pole bidirectional RCBOs are now readily available for the major CU brands at close to the same price as other types, I can see no reason to install anything else unless there is a specific requirement for a different type. Or am I missing something?

    Domestic Aircon power supply

That's not the type, it's the differential current trip rating. Post a photo of the front face of the RCD and we should be able to tell from the markings.

    Consumer unit keeps tripping ourlt

The first thing you need to do is what pete01 wrote in the first reply - though I would turn each one on individually. Then you'll know which circuit has the problem. Let us know the result and we can give further help.

    Mum's single oven wired correctly??

You need a table that applies to the cable you use. It doesn't matter what the heading of the table is. 4E2 applies to H6242B - the manufacturer's data sheet says so.

Fixing TT earthing problems and gas bonding for an EV charger

Taking hand to hand resistance as typically 1000Ω, using your example above the touch voltage at the fault would be 52.5V and the current across the body 52mA - so very likely fatal, less likely but not impossibly so if RCD protected due to the route of the current through the body.
