Hot water cylinder on 80c - will this cause any damage?

Your hot cylinder should have a balancing valve, shut it in then reopen say half a turn. Reset your temp, now draw off a sink full of hot. Your boiler should kick in to try and heat the cylinder and at the same time your rad will get nice and hot. The boiler will continue to fire until the hot...

Honeywell v4073a1039 motorised 3 port valve: should moving lever to manual allow flow?

Your point No7 in the Symptoms : Remove the large silver disc in the centre of the pump. Will get a small amount of water leaking but should only be a little. Once removed, you might be able to see the pump spindle. With your heating/ hot water being called, the pump spindle should spin.

You make some good points jaba. The bottom line is, the meters are coming for all of us. Here is your chance to out think the things, make a few bob if your idea is a winner. I start the ball rolling. Fit a water tank or an extra one . Fit a motorised valve on to a cold main feed pipe that will...

Any pointers for a change over to Hive. My boiler is a Profile, the system is a Y plan. If it's not a straight forward change, what are the wiring mods needed? Thanks for any info. Pete

    Airlock in CH system?

I would be very tempted to remove each rad, one at a time, and flush them out. Now would be the time to have a go, before the weather really changes.

Could you not fit this wheel? Or buy it and ask him to do so, price should drop to £150ish.

    Heated Loo seat

So, this Loo is either for people who need it or for those who like and can afford to have a couple fitted. It would be something to add to the list of a new build for me if I was in that position. Pete

    Heated Loo seat

Haha, I've never used one before, just got me thinking, could it be the next big ask?

    Heated Loo seat

A bit of a straw-poll to see if people have fitted or have been asked to fit this type. Stayed at a hotel with this type of seat and it got me thinking. It was very easy to get to like it and could see, once used, that having one would be nice. This seat had a remote control for the functions...

    Toilet spray gun

I've seen them fitted in the Sanderson in London a few years back and was a little surprised. Expect now that lots of hotels have them fitted, "what ever floats your boat " I'm a brush or stick man.
