Best way to install sign onto brick

Would i even need any pipes to set it off wall? Would it not just screw straight to the wall with some washers underneath the screws? Or is it best to set off the wall a bit for water drainage etc?

probably not ideal as i may need to replace the sign in a year or two, was thinking some method of screwing but not sure whether it's best to stand it off a wall or whether it's not strong enough to stand off wall and would need a flush fit and screw type fixing

Best way to install sign onto brick

I have just ordered a Foamex sign to go onto the brickwork of my house - it's essentially like compressed PVC foam .... similar to correx I was going to use standoff fixings however these are probably more suitable for an acrylic sign What would be best to secure a foamex sign to a brick wall?

    Loft hatch cutting out

Just a quick question before I do this new hatch opening this week Would you use the existing joist as an edge of the new cutout or is it best practice to use all new timbers (ie - laminate with a new timber of same size to use as edge of hatch? Cheers

    Loft hatch cutting out

I’m edging closer to cutting out for the new hatch Here is the hatch from above now the loft has been cleared a bit! As you look at the pic, the new hatch will run from Left to Right, so I’ll effectively be cutting the joist in the middle My question for today: 1. Do I do the hole cutout...

Protecting downlights in loft when insulating

Now I’ve exposed them more, they’re too close to the joists to put protectors over them What’s my choices? Just cover them with insulation and hope for the best?
