    Intergas Boiler Service

Been that way since 1998, doubt they’ll change it yet. You can have a gas safety check and a service (appliance dependant, eg boiler). The former is more like an MOT and the latter is a service as per mi’s.

    Intergas Boiler Service

It’s not a legal requirement for a gas service and not in the regulations. We do them on ours because it’s social housing landlord, so we have to maintain the pipes and that is one way of doing it.

    Intergas Boiler Service

No idea how or why they can get away with it, but it’s not unheard of a gas safety check being called a service.

    Intergas Boiler Service

This came to light around 2020 and any boiler made before that date needs the seals changing, fairly soon to prevent any issue. The 4 year kits available cover the vast majority of seals inside and the job takes around an hour unless the main heat exchanger is dirty, which then can take even...

    Ideal Boiler Short Cycling

It is where you can set the output of the heating, but I’ve just looked and apologies, yours doesn’t seem to support this, so might just be the diverter.

Danfoss TP5 - display is incomplete - need to replace the TP5 with new?

If the batteries are decent quality and contacts in the stat are clean then it’s likely goosed. You can replace with whatever you like really, as long as the voltages are compatible (most are).

    Asbestos in plaster

I’ve had plenty of asbestos training and we have been told previously that it can be in walls/plaster. Only way to know 100% is to have it tested, although as per @Deluks it’s unlikely. I work in social housing and don’t recall it being in any of ours, some artex however does contain the material.
