    Stock market dealing

Well played on making another fortune Justin. I wish you would focus a little bit more on you and your well-being than the money. Spend some on the best medical or other care that money can buy…please. Take care mate

Slow going - my double storey extension build

Thanks. Yeah, I’ve been a bit slow in keeping this thread updated…and to be honest a bit slow at doing the build as life’s been quite busy! So what’s been happening:- I ran all the wiring for the first fix electrics quite a bit earlier in the build, so that meant I could get straight on with...

    What have you bought today?

Got to spend £10k a year, but that's easy as I run all my business expenses through the card which runs through about 10x that :D

    What have you bought today?

I don’t get lounge passes with my Amex…but I do get companion vouchers, so when we fly next week Clare comes with me for free. My flight was free as well (air miles) but I did pay the taxes…so it qualifies for this thread :D We’ll get access to 12 lounges between us on that trip ;)

    What have you bought today?

We’ve been through quite a few kettles, from very expensive ones to cheapos. The only ones that seem to last for any decent period of time are Kenwood ones. They’re nothing fancy, but do the job and will last 5 or more years. I had a kenwood hifi back in the day with a 3 disc CD changer…and a...

What have you been doing today?

Worth it for the DIYnot bragging rights alone I would have thought :D Malmaison do the same sort of auction thing. I ended up with a suite when I stay in Newcastle for an extra £60…shame I was staying on my own. Generic picture below…didn’t use either bath

    Workshop Mk2

Some renders say you can prime cracks and paint but I think you should probably give EWI a call and see what they say. Good luck :)

    Workshop Mk2

What product are you using for the render? I assume you gave the blocks a good soaking before you put the render on. My topcoat (Baumit) needed primer between the base and top coat... did/does yours need anything like that?

I was going to say if it was the floor it’s not big enough to worry about.

    Front Garden Drive Conversion issues

Very surprised it takes that long, but no idea how efficient your local council is. Suggest you get a grab truck to just dump a few tons of MOT1 to give you that level area then angle it downwards

    Front Garden Drive Conversion issues

Apply to get the kerb dropped now. Hopefully they will allow the whole width of the path to be dipped which will make your life easier. Don’t any more building up, etc until you know the finished level of the path as anything before that is potentially waste of time. Feels like you might need...

What have you been doing today?

Strange to blur your own face, and leave what is an arguably more private photo of your other half sleeping un-blurred. Looks very much AI generated anyway...

    Building on sand

Sorry, missed this before. Yes my house is piled, was built in 78. The ground around us looks likes yours does - everything must be piled round here because BC say so.
