    Being sensible, I would put a 2 way metal CU into the garage. Metal one to future proof. Put it near the ev charger or where cables enter the garage. It must have an RCD. 6A mcb for lights 16 or 20A for sockets. Should you want to use the ev charger in the future you can talk to a spark. But...

    Modern ways Seam to only like one cable per mcb (except rings). If someone has gone to the trouble of running a cable all the way back to the CU it may as well be on its own mcb. (Is the thinking)
