Just bought a new belling oven. It's a 12kw oven. We have a 6mm T+E cable feeding the old oven but the new oven says to use flexible cable. What cable would you use and what's the best way to connect to the terminal, ring crimp or bend wire around screw.

Personally I'd disregard that and use your existing t and e. Those screws have a square washer to clamp the cable so it's not necessary to wrap it (and would be quite difficult to do). Just make sure the outer sheath is clamped securely at the bottom, and double the earth over so it's not the first to get pulled out.
Edited to add - I mean the outer sheath of the cable at the bottom of the junction box, not the insulation of the core going into the terminal

4mm² HO7 flex with pin crimps / ferrules on the ends.

However the 6mm² T&E you already have can be used. No crimps or bending required for that.

Thanks both of you. Think I will go either side of screw with copper cores so that it clamps down better using existing cable if that's acceptable.

It would be interesting to see the manufacturer's instructions on this.

Wonder why they dont put a proper connection box on ovens.....they are so small and awkward.

Yes my old belling was a much better terminal box. This one you have to tighten up really tight or the wires keep pulling out.

I always use the ho7 flex and ring crimps, it makes a much better connection, but you need a ratchet crimper for that

I do have a ratchet crimper fo the yellow ring crimps and a box of crimps.

Do the blue ones fit 4mm? I'd have to check.

No they te 2.5mm you'll need the yellow as you said

My old belling, had 2 massive nuts. (not metric sized!), Those were when things were built proper.
