Is this torch ok for solder ring fittings.

That torch, will be just about OK, but only when used upright. I use a Rothenburg torch, which works at any angle, and self ignites - squeeze the trigger, it ignites. Even better, the flame shuts off, as soon as the trigger is released, so it's economical on gas, burning with a tight, very hot...

Recommend me a 35mm to 42mm plastic pipe cutter

Yes I have had a look and they do not seem that good and people also comment on the older black ones being better but discontinued

Recommend me a 35mm to 42mm plastic pipe cutter

I got the old black rothenburger plasticutters which are very good, not so sure about the new combined ones from the mixed reviews.

System boiler on a vented tank?

But then it wouldn't be a vented system. If the boiler gives a warning at 0.5 barg and cutoff at 0.3 barg, it would be OK in a typical 2-storey house with the header tank in the loft and the boiler on the ground floor - likely over 5m head, but might need to elevate the tank. If not it might...

System boiler on a vented tank?

...sealed system pressure. Should you really want to (and I can't quite see why you would) you could pressurise the system with something like a Rothenburger RP30 pump. It should then not need re-pressurising more than once, perhaps twice a year. In theory it shouldn't need re-pressurising at...

How to cut MDPE pipe square!!!??

...cutters. These cleanly cut but there's so much play in the blade that getting a square cut is merely luck. - a rotary 15-22mm plastic rothenburger cutter, this failed miserably. These don't actually get through the material, but even using them as a starting point it's not square!!!!! - a...

    blow lamp for for diy

I have a Rothenburger blow torch. I use the yellow Mapp has for heating up seized bolts on cars and the blue propane gas for plumbing jobs although the yellow gas is okay for both as long as you go careful with it. Yellow is hotter.

    entry level blowtorch

I have two here, one of which as the brass regulator. One of the bonuses was that no matter which way you oriented it, the flame remained the same. With cheap gas blow lamps, you get the flaring as gas turns to liquid coming through the jet..

    entry level blowtorch

In the main I am happy with with the build quality of their products but my Rothenburger blow torch plus rothenburger gas bottle was pants, it often blew itself out when you turned it upside down.

Honda crv 07. remove bolt from snapped oil sensor

Many seem to use the Rothenburg these days, but the older blow-lamps had a much too wide flame. I have a couple of Rothenburgs, in my workshop - expensive yes, but good.

Honda crv 07. remove bolt from snapped oil sensor

Look nice but £120 For a single job seem too much. What about blow torch used for soldering like the plumbers ones?

Honda crv 07. remove bolt from snapped oil sensor

I had in mind something a bit bigger than that, a Rothenburger with map gas, but likely that might do it - depending on the burn time it can manage.

Core hole - carry on or hammer action and bash through?

...I prefer to use a SDS drill bit longer than the depth of the wall and then let the center guide pin in the arbour follow that hole. That said, the only kit at Screwfix that has a guide rod rather than an SDS type bit is the Rothenburger kit. On reflection, I think my arbor is the...

Should I remove blowtorch from gas canister when not in use?

I went over to gasless a while back, used to rent a bottle off BOC but it was too much for the use my MIG got.

Should I remove blowtorch from gas canister when not in use?

Got a Rothenburger and always disconnect it. Last time used was about 18 months ago and when I had a shed tidy at the weekend it still feels fairly full. (The gas canister, not the shed!:LOL: )

Should I remove blowtorch from gas canister when not in use?

I have one Rothenburger on a blue butane/propane and another on Mapp gas.....I’m too idle to disconnect the torches but I don’t think they leak either. Or at least, I can’t smell anything and they’re never empty. Wish I could say the same about Machine Marts argon/CO2 cylinders.....bought a few...

Reheating and rotating 22mm end feed copper.

Oh, it does - MAP is a much more concentrated and hotter flame. You can braze with them. I have a pair of Rothenburger's, I gave all my little butane / propane torches away, apart from a really big one, which was good for melting bitumen.
