Replacing analogue room stat & receiver/relay

Thanks, I realised after you posted that I called the receiver the newer BDR91, rather than the HC60NG. They are compatible, but I've edited my post for clarity!

Replacing analogue room stat & receiver/relay

Afraid I'm not a guru, but here goes! As you mention a hot water tank, have you ruled out any problems further along the line - does the C/H turn on via a short press of the override button on the front of the HC60NG receiver? If that works correctly, then you have some options. You could...

    Thermostat clicking multiple times

That's the point! :) It has got a relay, which means it isn't a mechanical stat... If you did feel like taking it apart, you may be able to get some contact cleaner into the potentiometer. But really, as above; probably new stat time.

Which fuse rating to use in a plug

If you click on the chain icons within the answer, it takes you to the webpage, and highlights the text that it gains it's citation from i.e. The AI has interpreted your question as literally using a fuse that is the wrong size (it's 5A when it should be 13A) - as its sources don't...

    Thermostat poorly placed??

Thank you. It's a little difficult to see, but I wondered if you could confirm that there were three brown wires in terminal 1 of the wiring centre? You could, but it would only control the upstairs zone and you would still need to move a grey wire in the wiring centre. It would probably...

    Thermostat poorly placed??

The existing stat is battery powered, the RT510RF requires a neutral, hence the need to ensure a neutral connection is made at the wiring centre...

    Thermostat poorly placed??

Yes, that is usually the best place to mount the receiver. The Wiser Kit 3 has two heating zones and hot water control. If you have a combi, the hot water control would be redundant and can be ignored. It's a system that seems well regarded on the forum. If you're happy to show us the wiring...

    Thermostat poorly placed??

Your Honeywell is a two wire stat. A new smart thermostat could cost a fair amount of money, finding a way to re-route the existing cable may be cheaper; but here are some options... If you don't mind something mounted on the wall; a Nest Thermostat E Heatlink is battery powered and could be...

    Thermostat poorly placed??

Just to note, the wiring would still have to be moved to the next room with that one.

    Thermostat poorly placed??

You have a few ways forward - it depends on what you wish to achieve. As above, moving the stat to the other side of the wall may be the most straightforward. The Honeywell T3 can be battery, or mains powered; posting a picture of the wiring behind it, may help.us to provide further options.

    Earth/moon.

I understand where you're coming from, and I may be talking utter rubbish, but at least in the short term - if the equipment for a Luna environment follows that of NASA and the ISS protocols - the risks to health from electric shock can be designed and risk assessed out...

Have you checked your charging cable?

What is this sealant around my double glazing?

I believe you'd need something like this.... https://www.upvcmaintenance.co.uk/double-sided-glazing-tape-438.html But wait before ordering, there are some experts on here such as @crank39 , that will steer you in the right direction. In the meantime, try and carefully remove as much sticky...

What is this sealant around my double glazing?

So again just to check - are there still two pains of glass together in the double glazed sealed unit? I may be wrong, but could this be security sealant for an externally glazed window?

What is this sealant around my double glazing?

Just to confirm, your title says the sealant was around double glazing, but your first photo only seems to show one pane. Were there two panes removed?

Why can I hear water running in shower drain?

If it's fairly constant at the moment (and less so in summer), could it be the condensate drain from your neighbours boiler?

Smart Wireless Thermostat - receiver not hardwired to router

Firstly how old is your Nest? If you contact Google, they have been known to be fairly generous with replacing defective Heat links, even when the warranty has long expired. It's worth a try. The Tado and Hive systems do connect to the router via a wired connection but these are the wireless...

    3 way light problem.

You do seem to overcomplicate things sometimes! I prefer the Occam's razor principle... The OP has only changed the ceiling rose And the issue is Wouldn't that suggest that the permanent live wire leading on to the security light has mistakenly been connected to the switched live terminal at...

    Earth/moon.

I'm afraid there are! Under the Moon agreement, jurisdiction is passed onto the participant countries - meaning activities should conform with international law and the United Nations Charter... https://www.unoosa.org/oosa/en/ourwork/spacelaw/treaties/moon-agreement.html

We've already had that suggestion from Notch7 #47 - he didn't suggest a colour though!
