    i will take a pic of the back of the switch today...and i was going to leave a blanking plate on the old switch. spark123...not sure about the rose conections and access is very limited ... thanks for the replys tho guys :D

    Hi, whats the best practice for extending a light switch?. At the moment i have one dimmer switch in the front room but its well away from the main door and hard to keep getting too, so my thoughts were to extend the wire from were it is now to its new location and put a new switch in there...

    I did forget to say that the plug in question are in the front room and will be used to power a Tv, telewst box and a small light (maybe). would use the fused socket just to be safe.

    Nice easy question for you guys tonight...i have some double sockets that havnt been spured off to anything...can i simply replace those with nice 3 gang MK sockets( with 13A fuse type) and if so will it be safe?

    storage heaters are bloody expensive things to have....we had em for nearly 20 years and now have gas rads....hopfully alot cheaper to run.

    you may have to use the fence and attach surports to it for the trellis work...either that or change the posts for taller ones....alot of hard work tho, surports are easier...

    I have looked at the back of the socket and know that it has been there since the house was built many moons ago...so i thought it would be on the ring. Prety sure it is but how do i check to be sure?....(multi meter on standby) :D
